If you know what you need going in, then you won’t pay extra for features and equipment that you won’t use. Most wireless security cameras on the market are for indoor use. At first glance, indoor security cameras may seem all alike, but they vary in key areas, such as
when they film, video quality, video storage, and size. Cameras can film continuously, only when triggered by a
build in or connected motion detector, when you schedule, or when you remotely access the camera. They may or may not include a built in motion sensor. Cameras vary in the resolution quality of their film, in their field of view, and in key features built in microphone, light, night vision, etc. Security cameras typically offer two options for storing videos, either on a local SD card or on the cloud. Sometimes cameras offer both. For cameras that use the cloud, you may have to purchase a subscription to the cloud storage service, or the cloud may only come with monitoring.

The night vision is similarly clear with eight infrared LED sensors, and the camera comes equipped with two way audio. Not only does two way audio let you speak to whoever you’re recording, which can be an easy way to talk to family members from afar, but it’s also a great way to scare away intruders as a last ditch effort. You’d be scared too if a disembodied voice came screaming out at you to get out of their house!On a more negative note, the camera’s night vision wasn’t quite as clear as I’d like it to be. While the box said you’d be able to see for 15 feet, things got blurry for me at 10. However, I am quite pleased with the camera’s two way audio and smart platform integrations, which include Amazon Alexa, Fire TV, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. It’s hard to find a camera that integrates with Apple HomeKit, as its one of the less popular smart home automations, so I like that the Circle 2 really gives you options here. Of course, you’ll be able to watch your livestream or cloud storage footage on your Fire TV in addition to vocally commanding the Logitech Circle 2. Truly, home security has never been more convenient!While the Logitech Circle 2 includes 24 hours of free cloud storage plus unlimited streaming and downloads, I would recommend
going with a membership, not only for the additional cloud storage but also for the person detection only available with the premium package. As you can see, the plans are reasonably priced and give you discounts for up to 5 cameras. With the premium package, you’ll also be able to create
motion zones, which tell the camera areas that are particularly important to look out for. If you have a house with multiple floors or a baby’s room, this feature is going to come in handy.
